KC’s Lopez exits with rib contusion

Royals right-hander Jorge Lopez, who flirted with a perfect game last Saturday against the Twins, could not match that performance Friday night at Kauffman Stadium. Lopez, who had a perfect game going into the ninth inning Saturday before giving up a walk and a hit, gave up nine hits Friday before leaving the game in the fifth inning with an apparent injury.
