Mallex lands on DL with viral infection
Rays outfielder Mallex Smith has a viral infection and has been put on the 10-day disabled list. According to Rays spokesman Dave Haller, Smith is being treated with antibiotics in a local hospital. He is not expected to have a prolonged hospital stay.
