Mariners’ bullpen day silences Angels
Roenis Elias struck out four in 3 2/3 innings, the first of six Mariners pitchers to keep the Angels in check during a 5-0 win on Friday. Ryon Healy and Dee Gordon each drove in two for the Mariners, who won back-to-back games for the first time in three weeks. Matt Shoemaker struck out eight and allowed three runs in 4 2/3 innings in his first home start since June 2017.
