Marlins seek lefty balance in lineup, on mound
When it comes to making personnel decisions, the Marlins have a long history of saying “quality is quality” regardless of whether a hitter or pitcher is right-handed or left-handed. The World Series-winning 2003 squad, for instance, was predominantly right-handed in both the hitting and pitching departments. But as Miami’s front office scans the market for upgrades, they are definitely seeking to add more left-handed balance.
