Mauer now second all-time on Twins’ hits list
First baseman Joe Mauer continues to move up among the Twins’ record books, as he passed Hall of Famer Rod Carew on the franchise’s all-time hit list with his 2,086th career hit on a single to left in the fifth inning against the A’s on Friday night at Target Field.
