Mesa rallies late after Appel’s stellar start
Astros prospect Mark Appel tossed five shutout frames of one-hit ball for Salt River, but Mesa’s offense rallied in the ninth and 10th innings for a 4-2 victory Thursday night in the Arizona Fall League. A’s top prospect Daniel Robertson drove in the go-ahead run on a sac fly.
