Mikolas hits 2-run blast during 4-run second
For a pitching staff as offensively adept as the Cardinals’, a trip to the thin air of Denver is a dangerous thing for opponents. Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela learned that the hard way Friday night, when Miles Mikolas (Mik) jumped him for a two-run homer in the second inning of the series opener at Coors Field. Looking for his 14th win, Mikolas helped himself by driving a Senzatela pitch 426 feet over the right-center-field wall, the second-longest homer by a pitcher tracked by Statcast™ this season.
