M’s, Rays near Zunino-Mallex deal, source says

The Mariners and Rays appear close to finalizing a trade that would send catcher Mike Zunino and outfielder Guillermo Heredia to Tampa Bay for Rays outfielder Mallex Smith. The pieces involved in the deal have been agreed to, a source told MLB Network insider Ken Rosenthal, but it won’t be completed until medical files are reviewed. Neither club has confirmed the agreement, which was first reported by Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times.
