Nats close to ruling out Murphy for Opening Day

The Nationals are “not quite there” to rule second baseman Daniel Murphy (right knee) out for Opening Day, but general manager Mike Rizzo said on Monday they are just about to, considering the timetable it would take for him to return. Rizzo reiterated this will be a big week to determine Murphy’s progress but added he is not concerned about the second baseman’s rehab.
