Nats fill 40-man roster by adding Cole, three others

The Nationals added four players — right-hander A.J. Cole, infielder Wilmer Difo, outfielder Brian Goodwin and left-hander Matt Grace — to their 40-man roster on Thursday. Meanwhile, infielder Pedro Florimon was claimed off waivers by the Pirates and right-handed pitcher Ryan Mattheus was placed on outright assignment and elected free agency.
