No denying Cash had an award-worthy season

Bob Melvin of the A’s won this year’s American League Manager of the Year Award, but MLB.com’s Bill Ladson was one of five members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America whose first-place vote went to the Rays’ Kevin Cash.
