Nola wins duel vs. Scherzer, tosses 8 scoreless

Aaron Nola pitched beautifully in a 2-0 victory over the Nationals. He allowed five hits and one walk in eight scoreless innings. He struck out nine. But Odubel Herrera came up with the biggest moment of the afternoon when he ripped a 1-0 cutter from Max Scherzer into the second deck in right field for a two-run home run.
