Odorizzi cruises in 2nd straight dominant win
Jake Odorizzi put together a second consecutive dominant effort to earn a series win for the Twins against the Tigers at Comerica Park. Odorizzi allowed two runs — on Mike Mahtook’s two-run triple in the seventh — in 6 1/3 innings, besting his counterpart, Daniel Norris, who allowed two runs in 5 1/3. The Twins were able to run Norris in the sixth inning after four of the first five batters reached. They tacked on three more runs in the seventh on a leadoff homer from Chris Gimenez and a two-run double by Tyler Austin.
