After the Nationals tied the game with four runs in the fifth inning, the Cardinals launched three home runs in the sixth, leading them to a win that snapped a three-game losing streak. Marcell Ozuna hit his second home run of the game to start the scoring in the sixth inning, and Paul DeJong and Patrick Wisdom followed with homers of their own off reliever Austen Williams. Yadier Molina punctuated the win with a grand slam in the ninth inning.
