Padres’ deal with Hosmer risky but defensible
Eric Hosmer has reportedly signed an eight-year deal with San Diego, and it comes with a fair share of risk and uncertainty. But for all the questions about Hosmer, the Padres did what any team should do. They went out, and added a player who makes them better.
