Padres, Makita reportedly agree to deal

The Padres and Japanese hurler Kazuhisa Makita have agreed on a two-year contract, sources told MLB Network insider Jon Heyman on Saturday. The club has not yet confirmed the deal, which was first reported as a possibility by Yahoo Sports.
