Padres walk off on Villanueva’s pinch-hit heroics

Pinch-hitting in the ninth inning, Villanueva fought off a Hirano splitter, sending a broken-bat blooper into left field. Travis Jankowski, who had opened the frame with a walk, scampered home with the winning run in the Padres’ come-from-behind 7-6 victory on Saturday night.
