Pannone throws a gem in first career start
The fans at Rogers Centre were treated to a rookie pitchers’ duel on Wednesday. David Hess was perfect for the Orioles until Kendrys Morales hit a single in the fifth inning. Thomas Pannone didn’t allow a hit to the O’s in his first career start until Trey Mancini singled in the top of seventh inning. Pannone allowed one hit in seven innings, and he was rewarded with a win when Morales launched a go-ahead solo homer in the bottom of the frame. Toronto blew things open with a five-run eighth inning, including a three-run home run from Devon Travis.
