Patrick Willis (toe) to be placed on season-ending IR

Patrick Willis will be placed on season-ending injured reserve, Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday. The San Francisco 49ers linebacker has been hampered by turf toe since the team’s Week 6 win over the St. Louis Rams.
