Rangers, Cuban prospect Martinez near deal

The Rangers are close to an agreement with Cuban outfielder Julio Pablo Martinez. Tuesday is the first day Martinez can sign with a Major League club, and he met with the Rangers to finalize the deal. An announcement is expected soon, according to sources.
