Rangers fall in finale, now 5 1/2 back in AL WC
Jharel Cotton tossed five scoreless innings and Khris Davis drilled his 41st home run as part of a five-run fifth inning as the A’s topped the Rangers, who fell 5 1/2 games back of the Twins for the second AL Wild Card spot. The A’s, who have won seven in a row, also got two RBIs from Matt Chapman and Jed Lowrie. Nomar Mazara hit his 20th home run of the season for the Rangers.
