Rays maintain momentum with sweep of O’s
The Rays used a five-run first inning to power a sweep of the Orioles on Sunday, their 11th straight win at Tropicana Field. Brandon Lowe finished off the scoring in the opening frame with a three-run home run. Yonny Chirinos pitched 6 1/3 innings of effective relief, giving up three runs in the seventh, as Jace Peterson’s two-run triple gave the Orioles some late life. The Tampa Bay bullpen didn’t allow another run after the seventh to secure a comfortable win.
