Rays need 13 innings for 1-0 victory over A’s
Mallex Smith drove in the lone run of the game in the 13th inning on a two-out single and the Tampa Bay Rays outlasted the Oakland Athletics 1-0 on Monday. Chris Archer threw six shutout innings for the Rays. Trevor Cahill was also stellar, not allowing a run in eight innings in his longest outing of the year.
