Rays place Duffy on DL with hamstring strain

The Rays have placed third baseman Matt Duffy on the 10-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring. To take Duffy’s place, the Rays selected Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Durham. Kevin Kiermaier (torn right thumb ligament) was moved from the 10-day DL to the 60-day DL to create a spot for Snyder on the 40-man roster.
