Rays walk off, sweep Jays without true starter
Matt Duffy’s walk-off single was the lone run in a 1-0 win against the Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon at Tropicana Field. J.A. Happ was on his game, but a high pitch count forced him out after five innings and just one hit allowed. The Rays’ bullpen was up to task thanks to nine scoreless innings from spot starter Wilmer Font, Matt Andriese and Diego Castillo. The win finished off a three-game sweep for Tampa Bay where the bullpen would account for all 27 innings pitched.
