Rockies’ Marquez opens with 8 K’s to tie record

Rockies right-hander German Marquez struck out the first eight Phillies he faced Wednesday to tie a modern-day major league record. Phillies pitcher Nick Pivetta broke the string with a slow roller as he reached on Marquez’s throwing error.
