Santana’s leadoff HR sets tone as bats erupt

Carlos Santana hit a leadoff homer, and the Phillies scored six runs in the first two innings to beat the Marlins, 9-4, Tuesday. Jake Arreita struck out a season-high 11 in 7 1/3 innings for Philadelphia, which ended its three-game losing streak. J.T Realmuto hit two homers to reach 20 for the first time in his career for the Marlins, who came into Tuesday’s game having won two of three.
