Shields reaches 200-IP mark before Sox walk off
White Sox starter James Shields fought through six innings for the 26th time this year, reaching the 200-inning milestone for a 10th season, and Daniel Palka’s two-run single capped a three-run comeback in the ninth as Chicago walked off vs. Cleveland. Trevor Bauer threw 60 pitches in four innings in his second start back from the DL before Carlos Carrasco took over, cruising until the fateful final frame. Bauer struck out four and allowed a two-run homer to Avisail Garcia — his 19th, a new career high for the White Sox outfielder. Yan Gomes homered in the fourth for the Indians.
