Source: Astros reach a deal with RP Smith
According to a source, the Astros have filled a need in their bullpen by signing free-agent reliever Joe Smith to a contract. Smith split last season between the Blue Jays and Indians. The 11-year veteran posted a 3.33 ERA in 59 games, striking out 71 in 54 innings.
