Sources: NBA cited rest rule in talks with Pelicans

The Pelicans decided to play Anthony Davis after talks with the NBA in which the league stressed to the team it could be subject to a $100,000 fine for every game Davis didn’t play, citing a 2-year-old rest rule, sources say.
