Syndergaard likely back before All-Star break

Noah Syndergaard, who has been sidelined since May 25 due to a strained right index finger, is scheduled to begin a Minor League rehab assignment Sunday. Assuming he comes out of that 60-pitch outing with no issues, Syndergaard could return to the rotation in one of the Mets’ final three games before the All-Star break.
