Teammates get emotional at Halladay memorial
Carlos Ruiz woke up the morning of Nov. 7 to a dark sky in his native Panama. “It’s a sad day,” he told his brother. Ruiz went back to his room and at one point took a nap. He awoke to a phone call from his longtime agent, Marc Kligman, who sounded different on the phone. Ruiz could tell something was wrong.
