Tigers pounce on Halos’ bullpen after rain delay
The Tigers and Mike Fiers dueled Angels rookie sensation Shohei Ohtani to a no-decision through five innings before Jose Iglesias’ go-ahead two-run single fueled a five-run sixth, sending Detroit to a 6-1 win on Wednesday night at Comerica Park. Ohtani’s outing was shortened to five innings by a pair of rain delays, though he threw the hardest pitch by a starter this season — 101.1 mph — in the fifth frame.
