Twins club 7 homers as Gibson blanks Padres

The Twins clubbed a season-high seven homers to back another strong outing by Kyle Gibson in a 16-0 win over the Padres on Tuesday night at Target Field. Minnesota increased its lead for the second American League Wild Card spot to 1 1/2 games, pending the result of Tuesday’s Astros-Angels game.
