Twins to place Hughes on DL in flurry of moves
The Twins announced a slew of roster moves on Tuesday, including their intention to place right-hander Phil Hughes on the 10-day disabled list with a left oblique strain and that first baseman Kennys Vargas cleared waivers and was sent to Triple-A Rochester.
