Voit stuns A’s with another clutch HR for Yanks

Luke Voit homered for the third consecutive game on Tuesday, launching an eighth-inning solo blast off Fernando Rodney as the Yankees rallied for a 5-1 victory over the Athletics at the Coliseum. Aaron Hicks added a pair of RBIs and Adeiny Hechavarria hit a late homer as the Yanks’ advantage over the A’s for the first AL Wild Card spot was restored to 4 1/2 games.
