Wainwright on DL with elbow impingement

Unable to will his arm to loosen enough to allow the pitches to come freely and the velocity to rise, Adam Wainwright endured another early exit in Thursday’s 11-7 win over the Pirates and was placed on the 10-day DL on Friday with a right elbow impingement.
