After Hamels escapes jams, Asche hits walk-off

While the 3-1 final score Friday night would indicate a pitchers’ duel, Philadelphia’s victory over Miami was actually more a display of the two teams’ consistent prowess on the mound with danger lingering. In the end, it was a hit without a runner in scoring position — a two-run blast by Cody Asche in the 10th inning — that proved to be the difference in the game.
