Attacking with fastball pays off for Walker
After his first outing of the spring, D-backs right-hander Taijuan Walker described it as a “grind” because of how many pitches the Giants hitters fouled off. Sunday, though, against the Cubs, Walker tossed three hitless innings, struck out four and threw 27 of his 36 pitches for strikes at Salt River Fields.
