Bettis caps year since treatment with 6 IP, RBI
It can be said Rockies right-hander Chad Bettis battled through six innings Thursday night, but in a greater sense, his performance was a celebration of the real battle of his life. On Thursday, a year and a day since undergoing his final treatment for testicular cancer, Bettis held the Giants to three runs and five hits, plus delivered an RBI single, and left with the game tied, 3-3, at AT&T Park.
