Boyd solid, Tigers claw out 12 hits to win G1

Matthew Boyd outpitched Marco Gonzales in the opening game of a twin bill in Comerica Park that Detroit held on to twin, 4-3. Jose Iglesias’ 2-run homer was the big blow, and Grayson Greiner added 2 RBI singles. The Mariners were held to 4 hits and left the bases loaded in the 9th.
