BREAKING: Cueto (elbow sprain) out 6 weeks

The Giants appear to have sidestepped a more serious injury to right-hander Johnny Cueto, who’s dealing with merely a sprain in his right elbow, not a tear, sources told MLB Network insider Jon Heyman on Monday. The club has not confirmed the news. The 32-year-old Cueto, who is 3-0 with a 0.84 ERA across five starts this season, was placed on the 10-day disabled list last week.
