Choo’s on-base streak at 45 after leadoff tater

Shin-Soo Choo hit a leadoff home run on the second pitch of Friday’s night game against the Tigers at Comerica Park, extending his on-base streak to 45 games. That is the longest streak in the Majors this season, and one game away from tying Julio Franco for the longest in franchise history.
