deGrom sets new career high with 15th win

Prior to Saturday’s game against the Braves, Mets manager Terry Collins said that he needed a starter to save the bullpen from being overused. Collins didn’t have to wait long for his request to be answered as Jacob deGrom went seven innings in the Mets’ 7-3 victory over the Braves at SunTrust Park.
