Eaton has arthroscopic surgery on left ankle

Nationals center fielder Adam Eaton underwent arthroscopic surgery on his injured left ankle Thursday in Green Bay, Wis., according to general manager Mike Rizzo. The procedure was to repair a Chondral flap, which is a type of cartilage tear. There is currently no timetable on Eaton’s return, and he will be immobilized for a week.
