Expected to pitch again, Farquhar resting at home
Chicago White Sox pitcher Danny Farquhar, who suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm during a home game on April 20, has been discharged from RUSH University Medical Center Monday afternoon and is resting at home with his family. Dr. Demetrius Lopes, Farquhar’s neurosurgeon, expects Danny to be able to pitch again in the future, but Dr. Lopes will not medically release Farquhar to pitch in a competitive game during the 2018 season in order to allow him to fully recover from the brain hemorrhage.
