Hoskins, Franco snap Nats’ 6-game win streak

Rhys Hoskins and Maikel Franco came up with the big hits in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over the Nationals at Nationals Park. Hoskins hit a two-run home run in the first inning and Franco singled to score an insurance run in the sixth. Phillies right-hander Vince Velasquez allowed just one hit and one run in five innings, but he also threw 92 pitches to force Phillies manager Gabe Kapler to go to his bullpen.
