Improving Stanton heads home; major surgery unlikely
Giancarlo Stanton, who sustained multiple fractures to his face after being struck by a pitch on Thursday night, returned in good spirits to Miami on Friday night. The two-time All-Star will undergo more tests, but it appears he will not need major surgery.
