Indians pound out 19 runs in rout of Reds
Jose Ramirez got the Indians on the board with a two-run homer, and they never looked back, scoring 19 runs to take the Ohio Cup finale over the Reds on Wednesday at Progressive Field. Ramirez added a three-run homer as part of a nine-run third, and Francisco Lindor put the game fully out of reach with a three-run home run as part of a six-run fourth. The Reds got homers from Scooter Gennett and Jesse Winker, but starter Tyler Mahle and reliever Tanner Rainey were hit for a combined 13 runs in the loss.
