Kingham lifts Bucs with bat, arm in crucial push

Nick Kingham excelled on the mound and at the plate on Sunday as the Pirates ended a five-game losing skid with a victory over the Phillies at PNC Park. The right-hander allowed one run over six innings, struck out five and smashed a two-run double for his first MLB hit in the win. Nick Williams hit his 11th homer for Philadelphia, a solo shot in the fourth.
